  • Twas The Night Before Christmas: Edited by Santa Claus for the Benefit of Children of the 21st Century

    Clement C. Moore

Paperback (Grafton and Scratch Publishers, Sept. 10, 2013)
Twas the Night Before Christmas is edited by Santa Claus for the benefit of children of the twenty-first century. Letter from Santa Claus: In this special twenty-first-century edition, selected lines have quietly slipped from the pages. Here at the North Pole, we decided to leave all of that tired old business of smoking well behind us a long time ago. The reindeer also asked that I confirm that I have only ever worn faux fur out of respect for endangered species. Publishers note: It was our sincere pleasure to act on Santa’s express wishes. As the direct link between the exposure to the depiction of characters smoking and youth initiation to nicotine has been well established, we were compelled to make these recommended changes.

Before the promotion can go to Daisy’s head, she’s up to her neck in trouble. The spirits are talking, and they’re terrified. There’s a real living girl in danger. And when Daisy is kidnapped by a crime boss with no scruples about using magic—and Daisy—to get what he wants, it looks like hers is the next soul on the line.[STAR] “You can’t really beat a story that has hijinks, romance, and…the bones of Sue the T-rex.”—The Bulletin[STAR] "This is one of the best YA novels of the year."—School Library Journal, starred review“This likable, uber-competent heroine’s adventure combines elements of paranormal romance and fast-paced thriller.”—Kirkus Reviews“Clement-Moore delivers some lovely comic zingers in a romance.”—Booklist

This loved story his been revised many times. I was lucky to find a version in public domain that also includes the story of the night after Christmas where Santa comes back as a Doctor to treat the children and relieve the stressed parents for the overindulgence of pies and candy. This 1920 version is both entertaining and historical contain both stories. The pictures are all either public domain or my own photos. I truly hope you enjoy the stories.Have a Merry Christmas.
